That place is relaxing. We have been with my family, and extended family in 2010 & 2013, stayed in one of the big houses on the west end.

It looks nice but that doesn’t look very Alabama to me. I know that it has quite long coastline but for some reason I see only marshlands when I think about Alabama’s coast.

Got down here last night. Around 8. What was supposed to be a 9 hour drive ended up being 12.

I wouldn’t say Alabama has a specific look, because it kind of has everything. It has the boring flat plains around Auburn, it has the rolling hills around Tuscaloosa, it has mountains around Fort Payne, river valleys around the north, marshlands in the south, and of course beaches on the very bottom.

Gotcha. Traffic I assume? At least ya made it. Lovely place down there. Too bad yall couldn’t have made it sooner. My family and I were over in Biloxi, MS yesterday enjoying the last big day of Cruisin’ The Coast. If you are into classic cars, I highly recommend going one year. It’s always the first week of October.

If yall have the chance and you haven’t been before, definitely try Lambert’s in Foley. If yall came south down the highway to get to Gulf Shores yall passed it in your left. Good food and an awesome atmosphere. They have people that walk around with big bowls of sides and there’s another person who comes out with fresh rolls that they throw at people who want them. It’s always packed but worth the wait.
